Angular – Choosing Your Preferred IDE

In the last section, we tackled Angular CLI installation. In this post, we will talk about choosing your preferred IDE.

Choosing your preferred IDE can be a bit tricky. There are currently 3 IDEs you can select for Angular.

First is Visual Studio from Microsoft:

  • You can download Visual Studio from the given URL
  • IDE from Microsoft
  • Recommended for TypeScript
  • Free to use

Here’s an example of Visual Studio IDE:

Second is Webstorm:

  • Uses JavaScript instead of Java
  • More feature-rich than Visual Studio
  • Paid Service

Third, you can use Sublime Text:
