Startups don’t just build products or offer services — they build presence. That means sharing content consistently and building up their name and reputation. Whether it’s for pitches, presentations, or marketing, content is the engine that keeps everything moving — on social media, blogs, pitch decks, customer support, emails… you name it.
But in 2025, standing out is tougher than ever. People have shorter attention spans, content needs to be faster and better, and there’s more competition every day. Hiring a full creative team can be super expensive — and that’s where your new AI allies come in!
Amazon Bedrock + Amazon Nova
You may know about Amazon Bedrock. Now, meet its new little brother (or sister)—Amazon Nova! It can create text, pictures, videos, and even change speech into other speech. It has its own special console, but right now, you can only use that console in the United States.
Don’t worry, though! With Amazon Bedrock, you can still try out Nova. Here’s how-
1. Switch Your Region
First things first — make sure your AWS account has the right permissions to use Amazon Bedrock!
Once that’s ready, head over to the console. Here’s an important step: make sure to switch your region to US East (N. Virginia) – us-east-1. That’s the only region where you can access the Nova models.
2. Request Access to Nova Models
The first time you use Amazon Bedrock, you won’t automatically have access to all the models — you’ll need to request access first.
To do this, scroll to the bottom of the sidebar and click on Model Access under Bedrock Configurations.
Here, you’ll see a list of available models. If the Nova models say Available to request, it means you don’t have access yet. If you already have access, you can skip this step.
Click Modify model access to make changes.
If you already have access to the Nova models, the checkboxes will be grayed out. If not, simply select the ones you want. Here’s how it looks if you already have access to the model vs if you don’t
When you’re done, scroll down and click Next to continue.
Wait for a few minutes and you will get access to the Nova models. Refresh your console and it should look like this once successful.
3. Set Up the Playground
You’re almost there! Just a bit more setup to go.
Head over to Chat/Text or Image/Video under the Playgrounds section, depending on what you want to generate.
Click Select model, and a pop-up window will appear. Here, you’ll choose your Category, Model, and Inference type.
For the best experience, choose:
-
Provider: Amazon
-
Model: The latest version of Nova Reel
-
Inference type: On demand
With just a few clicks, you’ll be up and running with the latest Nova features.
That’s it — you’re all set and ready to explore!
4. Give it A Go
On the left side of the playground, you’ll find a few settings you can adjust. Right now, the main option you can customize is the video length — from short 6-second clips up to full 2-minute videos (120 seconds).
Next, type in your prompt. You can also upload an image to go along with it, which helps guide the output.
When you’re ready, just click Run. Then sit back, relax, and let Nova generate the full video based on your input!
Voila! A video you can use to your heart’s content
Why This Matters to Startups
It’s no secret anymore — AI has moved from being a cool toy to a core tool. Today’s AI models can write, summarize, code, analyze data, generate images, and even edit videos — just like you saw in our demo. They’re fast, flexible, and budget-friendly. For startups, that means you don’t need to hire a full creative team when funds are tight.
AI gives you leverage — and in the world of startups, leverage is everything. It lets small teams punch above their weight, create at scale, and move faster than ever before.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Amazon Nova is still in its early stages. Right now, it’s only available in the U.S., and the features are a bit limited. You won’t be able to do everything yet, and the quality of output might require a little fine-tuning on your part.
Think of Nova as a jumpstart for your content — helping you generate solid drafts, building blocks, and creative inspiration quickly, rather than giving you fully polished final products. It’s not meant to replace your voice or vision — it’s meant to accelerate it.
Compared to more production-ready platforms like InVideo, Nova isn’t quite there yet. But here’s the key: cost. For what it can already do, Nova is one of the most affordable, high-quality tools available — and that alone makes it incredibly valuable for startups.
And the best part? It’s only going to get better. As Amazon continues to develop Nova, expect more features, higher quality outputs, and broader availability. So by starting early, you’re not just getting ahead — you’re growing alongside the tech.
Conclusion
Amazon Nova helps startups move faster, create more, and save big on costs. Whether you’re building content for social media, pitch decks, or product demos — it’s like having a creative team in your back pocket. And the best part? Nova is just getting started.
It’s still evolving, and that’s the exciting part. Every update means more features, better quality, and even greater possibilities. So if you hop on now, you’re not just using a smart tool — you’re growing with it.
