Moreover, AI makes learning more engaging through immersive technologies such as VR and AR simulations or gamified systems. According to University Canada West (2025), these methods not only improve comprehension but also increase motivation. Consequently, students stay more engaged with their studies and feel more confident in their progress.
The Risk of Laziness and Over-Dependence
However, with all these benefits comes a real concern: is AI making students too dependent?
Constant reliance on AI risks reducing critical thinking, problem-solving, and independent study habits. For instance, many students may feel tempted to let AI generate essays or solve equations without fully grasping the process. As a result, their learning becomes superficial, and their cognitive effort decreases.
Additionally, plagiarism and cheating remain pressing issues. Many students still lack clarity about their university’s AI policies, and studies reveal confusion about what actually counts as misconduct. Therefore, without clear boundaries, the temptation to misuse AI tools grows stronger, and students risk undermining their own development.
Preparing Students for Future Careers
Nevertheless, despite the risks, AI is undeniably shaping the future of work, and students who learn to use it responsibly will gain a competitive advantage.
AI is projected to create millions of new jobs globally by 2030. Careers such as AI trainers, data scientists, human–machine teaming managers, and ethics specialists are emerging across industries. The World Economic Forum even predicts that while many routine jobs may disappear, new opportunities will outpace those losses.
Consequently, students must recognize that AI literacy, digital fluency, and adaptability are no longer optional skills. Instead, they have become essential for career success. From healthcare and finance to retail and creative industries, employers now expect graduates to leverage AI tools effectively. In fact, many students themselves already believe that mastering AI will directly improve their employability and confidence when transitioning from education into the workforce.
Ethical and Practical Concerns
Even though AI offers many opportunities, it also introduces serious ethical and practical challenges.
For example, data privacy remains a major concern because AI systems collect and store sensitive student information. In addition, algorithmic bias can reinforce stereotypes if developers train AI on flawed datasets. Furthermore, educators worry about job displacement in areas such as grading and tutoring, where automation increasingly plays a role. Finally, many students remain unaware of acceptable AI use in coursework, which creates gaps in academic integrity.
These issues clearly highlight the importance of integrating AI responsibly, both in education and in workforce preparation.
Use AI, But Don’t Depend on It 100%
Here’s the bottom line: AI is a tool, not a replacement for effort. Students should absolutely use AI to gain new knowledge, understand difficult topics, and develop career-ready skills. They can also take advantage of it to improve efficiency in research, coding, or data analysis, and to explore new job opportunities in AI-driven industries.
However, students should never depend on AI 100 percent. True growth requires effort, creativity, and independent thinking. Therefore, the best approach is to use AI as a partner that supports learning and career preparation, while still making the personal commitment to study deeply, think critically, and create original work.
Conclusion
From my own perspective as a student, AI has been both a helpful ally and a tempting shortcut. It can absolutely make learning more efficient and prepare us for future careers, but it only does so when we use it wisely.
The future of education and careers in the AI era will not revolve around replacing human effort. Instead, it will focus on enhancing it. Students who embrace AI as a supportive partner, while continuing to challenge themselves to think critically and work independently, will ultimately be the ones who thrive in tomorrow’s workforce.

Given the enormous number of students and therefore the business success of Jon's courses, I was pleasantly surprised to see that Jon personally responds to many, including often the more technical questions from his students within the forums, showing that when Jon states that teaching is his true passion, he walks, not just talks the talk. I much respect and thank Jon Bonso.

The explanation to the questions are awesome. Lots of gap exposed in my learning. I used the practice tests along with the TD cheat sheets as my main study materials. This is a must training resource for the exam.
Using the practice exam helped me to pass. I think I wouldn't have passed if not for Jon's practice sets.

I can say that Tutorials Dojo is a leading and prime resource when it comes to the AWS Certification Practice Tests. I also tried other courses but only Tutorials Dojo was able to give me enough knowledge of Amazon Web Services. My favorite part of this course is explaining the correct and wrong answers as it provides a deep understanding in AWS Cloud Platform. The course I purchased at Tutorials Dojo has been a weapon for me to pass the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate exam and to compete in Cloud World. A Big thank you to Team Tutorials Dojo and Jon Bonso for providing the best practice test around the globe!!!
I highly recommend Jon and Tutorials Dojo!!!
