AWS HealthScribe Cheat Sheet
AWS HealthScribe is a HIPAA-eligible service designed to help healthcare software vendors create clinical applications automatically generating preliminary clinical notes from patient-clinician conversations. Powered by Amazon Bedrock, it simplifies integration by leveraging speech recognition and generative AI, without the need for managing machine learning infrastructure.
It is available exclusively in the US East (N. Virginia) region (us-east-1). This means that to utilize AWS HealthScribe, your AWS resources, such as Amazon S3 buckets for storing audio files and output data, must be located within the same region. Considering this regional limitation when planning your infrastructure is essential to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
