  • Note: Some recommendations, when remediated, may incur Azure service costs (e.g., enabling VM backup). The Critical Risks and Workload-based recommendations features may require specific support contracts.

Key Features & Concepts

• Critical Risks: For customers on enhanced support plans, this new feature highlights the most essential risks to application availability, such as missing Zonal Resiliency for Networking Services or Operational Data Storage, helping you focus on protecting mission-critical workloads.

• Resiliency Reviews: A feature where Microsoft Cloud Solution Architects deliver personalized, prioritized recommendations for specific workloads. You can triage (accept/reject) and track these curated recommendations directly in the Advisor portal.

• Advisor Score: A scoring system (updated in September 2024) for Reliability, Performance, and Operational Excellence based on fixed-weight subcategories. It helps you assess and track your progress in following Azure best practices.

• Cost Implications: New High, Medium, or Low indicators attached to many reliability recommendations, helping you evaluate the potential cost impact before implementing changes.

• Advanced Filtering: You can now filter recommendations by resource group, resource type, impact, and workload to find the most relevant advice.

• Well-Architected Framework Assessments provides access to Azure Well-Architected Framework (WAF) assessments, like the Mission-Critical | Well-Architected Review, to systematically evaluate and improve the architecture of your workloads.
